SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee baseball team has announced that it will host an Instructional Prospect Camp on Saturday, July 20, with a rain date scheduled for the following day, July 21.
The Sewanee Baseball Instructional Prospect Camp is for 2020, 2021 and 2022 high school graduates. The camp is designed to develop each individual's skill set as well as demonstrate their ability. The camp will run from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
What to Bring: Cleats, Turfs/Tennis Shoes, Baseball Pants, Practice Shirt, Hat, Baseball Equipment
12:30 p.m. - Check-In
1:00 p.m. – Introductions and purpose of camp
1:10 p.m. – Dynamic Warm-up
1:20 p.m. – Throwing Progression
1:40 p.m. – 60-yard dash (position players)/Pitchers Only continue throwing progression
2:00 p.m. – Individual Drill Series
2:30 p.m. – Outfield Routine
2:40 p.m. – Infield Routine (including catchers throwing to bases)
2:50 p.m. – Break
3:00 p.m. – Offensive Rotation
3:40 p.m. – 1st pitch of Game
5:00 p.m. – Campus Tour/Question and Answer Period with Coaching Staff
6:00 p.m. – Camp concludes
*Note: Schedule is subject to change dependent upon the number of players attending camp.
* If you would like to shower after we will provide our locker room, but please bring your own towel.
* We do request that you pre-register for our camp session even though we do not accept pre-payment. Click here for the registration form.
* Payment is collected on the day of camp ONLY. We do NOT accept credit cards. Payment may be cash or check. Please make checks payable to David Jenkins.
* Please bring a copy of your insurance card the day of the camp.
