CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Sewanee softball team suffered an 11-0 loss to the hands of Berry College in the opening game of the 2019 Southern Athletic Association Softball Tournament Thursday afternoon from Frost Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Vikings scored early and often in the contest, putting five runs up in the bottom half of the first before adding three runs in the second.

-Berry polished off the contest with a three-run fourth inning.

-Hanna Judycki and Miranda Townsend each recorded a hit for Sewanee in the postseason contest.

BERRY KEY STATISTICS
-Samantha Crabtree recorded a 3-for-3 day at the plate with two runs scored.

-Abbey Gamble recorded a homer in the game.

-Meredith Holland (12-5) tossed three innings and struck out four batters.
