SEWANEE, Tenn. - Sophomore women's soccer student-athlete Isabel Washko has been selected as Tiger of the Week after her performance in Sewanee's 4-2, come-from-behind victory over Emory & Henry.
Against the Wasps of E&H, Washko had two shots on goal, and both found the back end of the net.
The sophomore started the scoring in the 14th minute on an unassisted goal.
Later in the match, after Addie Roemerhauser tied the match a 2-2 in the 60th minute, the Spartanburg, S.C. native found Roemerhauser's pass a minute later to give Sewanee the lead and eventually the team's first victory of the 2019 season.
Washko and the rest of the Tigers return to the field Wednesday at Alabama-Huntsville. Sewanee returns home Saturday for a match against Agnes Scott.
