SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Sewanee volleyball team completed the weekend at the Sewanee Invitational with straight-set victories over the Mississippi University for Women and Agnes Scott, Saturday inside Juhan Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED, MUW
-Sewanee cruised to a 25-8 opening set victory in the morning match. Posting a .316 attack percentage (9-3-19), the defense allowed 10 attack errors from the MUW front row.
-In the second set, the Tigers made it a 25-19 set victory despite a tie at eight points apiece.
-Sewanee swept the match in the third thanks to a 6-1 start en route to a 19-9 lead. The Tigers claimed victory, 25-14.
-For the match, the Tigers allowed the Owls to a -.074 attack percentage (16-23-94).
MUW KEY STATISTICS
-Haley McMurphey led the Owls with eight digs and five kills.
-Mary Grace Prine and Sadie Mitchell had 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
HOW IT HAPPENED, AGNES SCOTT
-In the last match of the tournament, Sewanee had 32 kills to Agnes Scott's 20 in the sweep of the Scotties.
-The Tigers allowed the visitors to a .000 attack percentage or lower in two of the three sets.
SEWANEE KEY STATISTICS
-Olivia Nichols led Sewanee with eight kills for the end of the event and added four service aces.
AGNES SCOTT KEY STATISTICS
-Musumaulai Galoia led the Scotties with seven kills, while Caroline Irving recorded six digs.
Sewanee will now step into conference play next weekend with trips to Hendrix and Rhodes.
